What' s in the gas-filled CO2 laser tube?

CO2 Laser Machine is one of the most useful lasers today. With its high power and levels of control, Mimo work CO2 lasers can be used for applications requiring precision, mass production and most importantly, personalization such as filter cloth, fabric duct, braid sleeving, insulation blankets, garments, outdoor goods.

In the laser tube, electricity runs through a gas-filled tube, producing light, at the end of the tube are mirrors; one of that is fully reflective and the other lets some light travel through. The gas mixture (Carbon dioxide, nitrogen, hydrogen, and helium) is generally comprised.

When stimulated by an electric current, nitrogen molecule in the gas mixture become excited, meaning they gain energy. For holding this excited state for long, nitrogen is used to keep the energy in the form of photons, or light. The high-energy vibrations of the nitrogen in turn excite the carbon dioxide molecules.

The light produced is very powerful compared to normal light because the tube of gases is surrounded by mirrors, which reflect most part of the light traveling through the tube. This reflection of light causes the light waves being produced by the nitrogen to build in intensity. The light increases as it travels back and forth through the tube, only coming out after becoming bright enough to pass through the partially reflective mirror.

MimoWork Laser, concentrating on the field of laser processing for more than 20 years, offers a comprehensive set of laser processing solution to industrial fabrics and outdoor entertainments. Your puzzle, we care, your application solution specialist!
