The Key Feature of The Best Laser Engraver

(Advanced Edition) Ultra Speed Laser Engraver

Standard versions of engraving machines that use CO2 glass laser tubes, step motor drives and belt transmission systems. The differences in the actual use of this similar configuration are very much the same across brands, mainly some differences in the machine outlook. No matter how much each brand hypes its machines, configuration determines performance.

In this article, we want to focus on the Advanced edition laser engraver that shares similar concepts from the brands on the market, namely Trotec Laser Engraver, Universal Laser Engraver and Epilog Laser Engraver.

What are the differences between the standard version and the advanced version? To put it simply, the advanced edition can engrave super-fast, 2000mm/s.

Here’s the video for more details about the advanced edition laser engraver compared to a standard version laser engraving machine.

Video Demonstration: Comparison

Between Advanced Edition Laser Engraver and Standard Version Engraver

In the video, we demonstrated using the Advanced edition laser engraver to make a small laptop stand with an MDF board. You can see for yourself that the laser beam is ultra-thin compared with a regular laser engraver. This is because we are using an RF laser generator.

Upgrade 1: RF Laser Generator

What’s the difference between RF and DC (glass) laser? It’s the size of the laser beam. Regularly, an RF laser can deliver a laser beam at the diameter of 0.07 mm, (0.3mm for DC laser) and it can shoot laser light at a frequency of 10KHz-15KHz, which is overmatching DC laser for sure.

As a result, when you want to engrave high definition picture, let’s say a portrait image, with an RF laser, you can engrave a 500DPI image easily and show a much better result. But for DC(glass)laser, the larger laser light sports cause overlap when engraving high DPI images, resulting in a less HD sculpting effect.

Based on such extremely fine laser spots and high-frequency laser emission, you have the chance to engrave on solid material at a super-fast speed.

So, if you own a laser engraver now, and are stuck engraving high dpi images, and wonder why the engraving result is so much different from what other people share on social media, this is the answer. Configuration determines the performance of the machine for sure.

Upgrade 2: Servo Motor & Module Structure

For this purpose, we equip a 400W servo motor (3000 RPM) and module structure to maximize the speed and maintain a high-quality engraving effect. The maximum engraving speed can reach 2000mm/s. You can see we leave a timer on the side and show you real-time engraving.

Most laser engraving machines on the market are belt-drive structures and step motor drives. The difference in engraving speed between them is obvious. In addition to speed, the stability of the module structure is extremely high.

Optional Upgrades

Aside from these major configuration differences, it’s optional to install a coaxial red light pointer system, up & down lifting table, cylinder rotary, auto focus, and vision system to simplify your workflow.

In Conclusion

Today we demonstrated the differences between a Standard Laser Engraver and an Advanced Laser Engraver, aside from the upgraded RF Laser Generator that completely outmatches the traditional Glass Laser Tube in almost every aspect, there is also the combination of Servo Motor & Module Structure which increases speed, maintains a high-quality engraving effect while making no comprises on stability.
